Manuel Rosa da Silva’s connection to the telecommunications sector did not start when he joined Portugal Telecom, but a few years back in his career when he became an advisor of the European Telecommunications team of KPMG Consulting in London. His career also spans positions in several banks such as Deutsche Bank/ Morgan Grenfell and Merrill Lynch where he served as deputy chairman.

He transfers to Lisbon where he joins a new project as CFO of PT Multimedia, thus starting his career at Portugal Telecom. He later served as corporate managing director for the Investor Relations and Corporate Finance divisions. He is appointed executive director of PT Multimedia,a positions he holds for approximately one year. He is currently executive director of the Board of Directors of PT SGPS as well as of PT Comunicações/TMN.

Manuel Rosa da Silva holds a Systems Engineering degree from Instituto Superior Técnico, Tecnical University of Lisbon. He was born in 1967.
