With a consolidated 18-year career, Shakhaf Wine started his professional activity with Icatu Bank, serving as inter-bank currency exchange dealer at Banco Central do Brasil, transferring later to London, where he continues his career at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell bank. Before joining Portugal Telecom in 2003, he served as managing director of the Investment Bank, holding overall responsibility for the relationship with European corporate customers of the Global Telecommunications group at Merryl Lynch International bank.

He is currently an executive director of PT SGPS. He is also CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portugal Telecom Brasil, SA a position he holds since April 2005. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Vivo Participações, SA since March 2004 and deputy Chairman of the same Board since August 2008. He holds senior management positions in other companies, including Chairman of the Board of f Directors of Mobitel, SA, deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Brasilcel NV, member of the Board of of Directors PT Investimentos Internacionais and member of the Supervisory Board of Africatel Holdings BV.

Shakhaf Wine is 39 years old and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, completed at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
