The Portugal Telecom campaign called Paixão Total (Sheer Passion) is underway. This initiative is the motto that identifies the bet of the PT Group on football and transmits the emotion of all the Portuguese when our national team plays.
Following the presentation of the song in Évora, in front of the players and the Portuguese committee it is now time to launch the publicity spot on television.
Paixão Total is an incentive for the support of the Portuguese, a highlight of its fans’ qualities and the dream of a victory of our national team. It is the “portugality” once again expressed after having been the centre of the “Camões” and “Hino” campaigns.
PT and Football
Paixão Total is the motto that identifies the bet of the PT Group on football and transmits the emotion of all the Portuguese when our national team plays. The demonstration of this Sheer Passion is based on a song that supports the national football, namely the Portuguese national team that will be present at the World Cup FIFA 2006, which will take place in Germany. This song is the soundtrack of the new PT Group publicity campaign. As of 31st May it will be broadcasted on radios and televisions that will transmit the football matches.
Football is a transversal phenomenon that touches practically everyone. The belief of the PT Group in this area has been quite clear. It sponsors Benfica, Sporting and Porto, as well as the major events related to this modality: we were technological partners of the Euro 2004, we are sponsors, through TMN, of the Main National Team and the Under 21, and in Brazil, Vivo also sponsors the World Champions.
